Haemanthus coccineus
A photograph of the Lion in Winter. These are the leaves of the
Scarlet Blood-Flower, to translate its name literally. They go with
the previous flowers. The plant is in a five-gallon tub and again,
that's a size 11 boot. Stretched out flat, the leaves on this plant
would span over two feet. There is considerable variation in the size
and shape of the leaves in this species.
