This species ranges from scarlet to yellow. In the White Mountains, most of the plants I've seen are orange, with scattered yellow individuals mixed into the population. Unfortunately, like most of the desert and mountain species, this one will not grow near the coast. But not to worry, there are plenty of other species that are just as nice that are happy to oblige.
