Brunsvigia bosmaniae
If you know of a stranger or more beautiful set of leaves than these,
I'd like to know about it. A fairly close relative of the preceeding
species, this one is smaller, has the bulb entirely underground, and
lies perfectly flat. Not all the Amaryllids are winter growers, but
many of the most unusual are, including this one. In summer, with the
bulb hidden and the leaves dead, it's almost impossible to find this
plant even if you know where it is.
